Wcale nie urodziła się ostatnia, ale za to najmniejsza. I z każdym dniem, wyraźniej widoczne było, że w porównaniu z rodzeństwem, to Ona jak gdyby się kurczyła.
Później przyszły dni strachu, czy aby na pewno przeżyje. 
Jako pierwsza zaczęła jeść mięsko, jako pierwsza nauczyła się pić mleko z miseczki. Chociaż nie bardzo przypominała kociaczka, coraz bardziej podbijała serce.
W końcu zapadła decyzja - zostaje. 
Teraz na samą myśl, że mogłoby jej nie być, jakoś tak smutno się robi na duszy.
I … tak jak w bajce, z brzydkiego kaczątka, zaczęła wyrastać piękność.
.....Tak trochę to ma ona w sobie z ptaków.
Ciągnie ją w powietrze. Wykonała już pierwsze skoki z balkonu. Tyle, że nie zadbała jeszcze o spadochron.A co w tym najważniejsze. To, że jest mądrym zwierzakiem, pełnym ciepła. Nie sposób się na nią za nic gniewać. Jak zaczyna mruczeć, albo biegnie, a może skacze w kierunku człowieka, to zaczyna się uśmiechać serce.

Maurycy jest wszędobylskim kotkiem. Jego ulubionym zajęciem jest jedzenie. Chętnie też towarzyszy każdemu w wędrówkach po domu. 
Jest spokojny, chyba nie bardzo wie, do czego kotom służą pazury, bo jeszcze nigdy nikogo nie zadrapał. Nie przepada za czesaniem i przecieraniem oczu. Bardzo rzadko miauczy, prawie nigdy, pomrukuje czasem z zadowolenia, gdy się go głaszcze.

Selena jest wyjątkowo spokojną kocicą. Wybiega do drzwi, gdy wraca się do domu (prawie jak prawdziwy pies). Bardzo nie lubi obcych, boi się tego, co nieznane. Chętnie towarzyszy we wszystkich domowych zajęciach. Jak prawdziwa kobieta lubi być zadbana, uwielbia czesanie. Może przez długi czas nadstawiać grzbiet pod szczotkę. W przeciwieństwie do innych kotów lubi też się kąpać. Nie ma też nic przeciwko suszeniu suszarką do włosów. Jest po prostu wyjątkowa.
